Based in Skibbereen, West Cork Distillers was founded in 2003 by John O’Connell, Denis McCarthy and Ger McCarthy and has since grown to a team of almost 80 people. Leveraging an entrepreneurial spirit and passion for both the science and art of whiskey production, we have been recognised for our innovative approach and credited with distilling and bottling some of the finest craft Irish Whiskey on the market today.

Not only do we source the finest of ingredients locally where possible, we also rely on many local suppliers. Our Core Products

THE Distillery

In 2018, work began on the development of a new distillery at our Skibbereen site. Due for completion in October 2019, this addition will place West Cork Distillers amongst the top six largest on the island of Ireland. The distillery will also boast a new visitor centre, where we look forward to welcoming guest from all over the world, extending the famous welcome West Cork is known for.
